Abyss Watcher only collects data that is necessary to provide its features. The following data is stored in our database:

- Maintaining server-wide settings and leaderboards
We do not sell, rent, share, or monetize your data in any way. Your data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in a MongoDB database hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data including:
- Encrypted database connections (TLS/SSL)
- Access restricted to bot infrastructure only
- No sensitive personal data is stored
- Regular security reviews
However, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as you or your server use Abyss Watcher. Specifically:
- Server data is retained while the bot remains in your server
- User data is retained unless you request deletion
- Data may be automatically purged after extended periods of inactivity (12+ months)
6. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. To delete your data:
- Join our support server and open a data deletion request
- Your economy profile (all items, balance, progress) will be permanently deleted
- This action is irreversible
Server owners can also request deletion of all server-related data by removing the bot and contacting support.
7. Third-Party Services
Abyss Watcher interacts with the following third-party services:
- Discord — Bot platform. Subject to Discord's Privacy Policy
- top.gg — Bot listing and vote tracking. Subject to top.gg's Privacy Policy
- MongoDB Atlas — Database hosting. Subject to MongoDB's Privacy Policy
- Railway — Bot hosting infrastructure. Subject to Railway's Privacy Policy
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.
8. Children's Privacy
Abyss Watcher is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the bot, please contact us so we can delete their data.
Use of Abyss Watcher is subject to Discord's minimum age requirements.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Abyss Watcher after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
